Creating an advanced air-breathing electric propulsion laboratory

Over the summer, we expanded and renovated our facility in preparation of our in-orbit technology demonstration.

We have manufactured and installed a new vacuum chamber, which is now set-up and fully operational. It is three times larger than our previous one and will double our development speed.

This is the world’s first facility optimized for testing air-breathing propulsion systems and its capabilities make it one of the most advanced electric propulsion laboratories in the UK.
