Introducing The Latest Version of AURA

EM2 is our advanced engineering model, incorporating a fully optimised and more integrated design based on lessons learned from hundreds of hours of testing its predecessor.

Six EM2 units have now been manufactured, providing the hardware basis for our upcoming qualification and flight programme.

EM2 will now enter its full qualification campaign, including thermal-vacuum and vibration testing, plasma diagnostics, and endurance testing. We expect to complete the full qualification campaign by the end of Q1 2027.

Following successful qualification, the remaining EM2 units will become our flight models and will be integrated into NewOrbit’s satellite.

This campaign marks another major step in our preparations for flight in 2028.
